Privacy policy

Who we are

When we say “we”, “us”, or “mHub”, we mean mHub Rwanda Ltd, a Rwandan limited liability company, House 31, KK21 Avenue, Kicukiro, Kigali, Rwanda. mHub is a consulting partner for leadership effectiveness and workforce performance. This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit this website (www.mhub-africa.org), why, and what rights you have. Our data processing complies with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and with Rwandan Law No 058/2021 of 13/10/2021 relating to the protection of personal data and privacy.

The short version: this website is built to collect as little data as possible. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no newsletter lists, no user accounts, no payments. We process personal data in essentially one situation – when you choose to contact us.

What we process and why

When you contact us. If you use our contact form or email us, we process the information you provide: your name, organization, role (optional), email address, and your message. We use it for exactly one purpose – to respond to you and handle the conversation you started. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries and, where your inquiry aims at a business relationship, the preparation of a contract (Art. 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b) GDPR). Form submissions are delivered to us by email through our own mailbox; they are not stored in a marketing database, and contacting us does not subscribe you to anything.

Technical data when you visit the site. Our hosting provider processes the technical data that every website visit generates (such as IP address, browser type, date and time of access) in server log files, for the purposes of delivering the website securely and diagnosing technical problems. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Security check on the contact form. Our contact form is protected against automated abuse by Cloudflare Turnstile. When you use the contact page, Cloudflare processes technical information about your browser and device solely to distinguish human visitors from bots. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the website and our mailbox from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Details are available in Cloudflare’s privacy documentation.

For cookies and browser storage, see our Cookie Policy – the summary is that we use only strictly necessary technologies and therefore show no consent banner.

Who receives the data

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run this website, and only for that purpose: IONOS (Germany) hosts the website and our email; Cloudflare, Inc. provides the contact form’s security check. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, this takes place under recognized safeguards such as the European Commission’s adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. Beyond that, we disclose personal data only if legally required to do so.

How long we keep it

Contact inquiries are kept as long as needed to handle the correspondence and any business relationship that follows from it, and thereafter only as long as legal retention duties require. Server log files are retained by our hosting provider for a short period for security purposes and then deleted.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format, each within the conditions of applicable law. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@mhub-africa.org – we respond personally.

External links and our social media accounts

This website links to external websites (for example, our profiles on professional networks). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to read.

Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the data we process against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, and we work only with providers that operate secure production environments.

Changes to this policy

If our data processing changes – for example, if we ever introduce tools that require your consent – we will update this policy first.
