THE SYSTEM

The Workplace Performance System

Between what leadership intends and what its people experience every day there is almost always a gap. It is where performance quietly gets lost, and it is what this system is built to close.

Most measurement asks only whether the organization achieved what it intended. We ask what people experienced while trying – because that is the half that decides whether the next intention survives contact with the working week.

One product, four stages, delivered as a single engagement. Six months to implement – up to twelve for large or multi-site organizations. Sustain is an ongoing partnership rather than a stage that ends.

What actually happens

The system works across four connected levels: the organizational and operational conditions work runs through, leadership capability, team effectiveness, and individual mental fitness. They are implemented together, because in practice they determine one another.

STAGE 1

Engage

On-site awareness sessions across the whole organization, made compulsory by you – day-long, up to fifty people at a time, run as a series in larger organizations. They build shared understanding, leadership buy-in and trust, and they explain the diagnostic and how confidentiality is protected. This is delivered work, not an administrative step: it is why the data that follows is honest.

WHAT IT ASKS OF YOU

Attendance made compulsory, a full day per session, an on-site venue, and senior leadership visibly present.

STAGE 2

Diagnose

The Workplace Performance Diagnostic examines how your organization actually operates – where leadership practices, communication and coordination, workload realities and staff conditions are limiting performance. Burnout, disengagement, presenteeism, turnover, recurring interpersonal conflict and coordination friction are read as operational signals rather than as wellbeing problems to be treated in isolation. It ends in three things: your Workplace Performance Insights Report, a Leadership Alignment Session on the findings, and your WPS Roadmap.

WHAT IT ASKS OF YOU

Survey participation across the workforce, interview time from executives and senior managers, team release for discussions, access to workforce and operational data, and a named internal counterpart.

STAGE 3

Develop

Capability is built where the diagnostic says it is needed, never from a menu. Every implementation includes the same baseline across three tracks, delivered in cohorts over eight to twelve weeks, and your Insights Report determines where more depth is warranted. Leadership capability – how managers lead under pressure. Team effectiveness – clarity, trust, coordination. Mental fitness – the capabilities people bring to every working day. The tracks are prioritized with you from your own findings, are never sold separately, and are applied in live work between sessions rather than rehearsed in a training room.

WHAT IT ASKS OF YOU

Eight facilitated hours per participant per track across eight to twelve weeks, and manager commitment to applying the practices in real work.

STAGE 4

Sustain

The implementation ends; the work does not. A standing monthly programme of continued development for managers, workshops for staff, and regular reporting on where the organization stands, with individual confidential support remaining available to your people. Once a year the compulsory WPS Impact Review re-runs the diagnostic, including the leadership competency re-assessment.

WHAT IT ASKS OF YOU

A standing monthly commitment of manager time, and a decision each year to look honestly at what the review finds.

Why nothing changed last time

Most of what organizations buy here works on one piece – a training course, an engagement survey, a wellbeing benefit – and leaves the conditions that produced the problem running underneath it. The piece is often good. The conditions, however, outlast it.

Mental capability is the foundational layer
of performance.

That is the layer a single course or a single survey cannot reach. Whether people think clearly, coordinate, and absorb pressure is decided by how the work around them is led and organized.

So this is one engagement across all four levels at once, and then measured. Baselines are set in Diagnose; the compulsory annual WPS Impact Review re-runs the diagnostic and re-assesses leadership competencies. And movement shows up year on year in your own data.

Three ways to begin

Start with Engage

An awareness series for your whole organization (shared understanding, leadership buy-in, trust)

Start with the Diagnostic

See where daily conditions are limiting performance (Report, Alignment Session, Roadmap)

Commit to the full implementation

All four stages as one engagement

Whichever you choose generates real value on its own and leads into the same implementation. Nothing we sell is a dead end.

The next step is a conversation
